A convertible car seat is the one your child will sit in for the widest age range, and likely the most important one for that reason. A convertible car seat can be used from birth, or is the next step for car seats after an infant seat. Nuna has three different models of convertible car seats, the EXEC, REVV, and RAVA.
Why choose Nuna Convertible Car Seats?
Nuna’s focus on features, comfort, and safety sets the bar for the industry. They are consistently at the top of crash safety tests, and were one of the first car seat vendors to retool their infant car seats for the latest safety standards from the NHTSA that went into effect February 5th 2024.
Nuna EXEC
The EXEC works for a weight range of 5-50lbs for rear-facing and 25-65lbs for forward-facing positions. It has an adjustable headrest, removable infant insert, an extendable leg rest, and uses Fire-Retardant free (FR-free) materials, organic cotton inserts and harness covers. The EXEC has an extra mode called belt-positioning booster, which allows it to act as a booster seat for 40-120lbs. This is the only all-in-one car seat from Nuna that allows it to work for newborn up to 120lbs.
Nuna RAVA
The RAVA works for a weight range of 5-50lbs for rear-facing and 30-65lbs for forward-facing positions, so just slightly different than the EXEC there. The only thing it lacks in the list of features is the certified organic cotton inserts and harness covers. Though they are styled a little differently, the deciding factor may come down to something as simple as the bigger and better leg rest on the EXEC, or saving a little money with the RAVA. Though the RAVA lacks the all-in-one status by not having the belt-positioning booster mode.
Nuna REVV
The REVV is Nuna’s convertible car seat that can rotate 360 degrees, which is super convenient for getting your smaller ones in and out of their car seat. Its weight range is 5-40lbs for rear-facing, and 30-40lbs for forward facing. So a shorter useful lifespan based on the size of your child. It’s a question of convenience here as this likely falls more into the infant car seat category with the weight ranges, but gives you enough overlap before deciding on a booster seat or a more accommodating convertible seat. This seat is not FAA certified and does not have a leg rest. It does, however, have the certified organic cotton inserts and harness covers similar to the EXEC.
